| Both ways of thinking have to be available. On the one hand, one should be in a position to realize correlations and be able to cope with systematic relations: e.g. what has to be taken into account if a flexible working time model is introduced in my department? On the other hand, one should be in a position to proceed from the correlations step by step into detail: e.g. How do I proceed from calculatory to actual figures.

| New management approaches will give the employee an ever
increasing amount of responsibilities. At the same time, there will be less people on the
higher levels of organizations. Who will control and check the sequences of operations. The result of this is that is employees must cope with an increased amount of tasks independently and pay attention to the quality criteria, profitability and feasibility. This increase in responsibilties also means an increase in independence.

is losing its half-life period and working conditions are far from being stable. One

| If employess have more room for decision making and are given
more opportunities to shape the product, the processing techniques and their entire
workplace, they must be willing to give answers which they are able to support. To have a sense of responsibility means: initiating necessary processes, even if they are annoying for oneself or bringing things to an end which have proven detrimental to the company and facing up to the the consequences of change. |
